So another trip to Gencon is in the bag and as in years past I am exhausted,
exhilarated and already looking forward to next years event. Gencon is a cultural Mecca for those who live in the gaming community and everything that a person could ask for at a pop culture event is there from great artists in artist alley, authors showcasing their new books, legions of fans dressed in their best costumes, a dealer room with every sword, t-shirt and gaming aid known to mankind and so many great opportunities to game that a person could almost spend a day just reading all the events that being held. The gaming is great not only for the many different types but the chance to meet the designers and even get to test play a new game while standing next to statues and giant images that capture the monsters and characters involved.
The con was also a showcase for Animie moves and presentations on everything from breaking into writing to the history of the
transformers ( which had two of my favorite speakers of the con by Tom Croom and Joey Snackpants ) There is truly something for everybody at this convention and over the next couple of days we will be sharing some details of some of the great things that our attendees got to experience but for now let me just give you one bit of advice, put in your advance order for tickets for the next one or your will be depriving yourself of a great time.
