| Char•ac•ter | A documentary featuring Dabney Coleman, Peter Falk, Sydney Pollack directed by Drago Sumonja | premieres March 13th
Char•ac•ter, the groundbreaking documentary that features the last-known interviews with actor Peter Falk and actor/director Sydney Pollack, will premiere March 13thon Prescreen, an innovative social movie discovery platform that offers an alternative to traditional advertising and distribution channels.
The film was directed by Drago Sumonja, an up-and-coming LA-based filmmaker who brought an honest, no-holds-barred approach to the project. The film features intimate conversations with Dabney Coleman, Charles Grodin, Mark Rydell, Harry Dean Stanton, Falk and Pollack about the crafts of acting, filmmaking and what it means to be an artist.
Coleman (Tootsie, Nine to Five, On Golden Pond, Boardwalk Empire) serves as “Character’s” unofficial narrator and interviewer, and his longtime friendships with these legendary actors and directors adds a special dimension to the film and a comfort level that Sumonja captured on film, rendered beautifully in black and white.
“I wanted to make a document, that candidly captures these iconic actors,” Sumonja explains. “I also wanted to expose a younger generation to them”.

Every day just became your own personal film festival. Launching today, Prescreen is calling itself a “social movie discovery platform” that’s designed to “give filmmakers and distributors an alternative to traditional advertising and distribution channels.” That is, it’s a web interface wrapped in a social network to a curated catalog of films that may otherwise have had difficulty finding a distribution deal
