Interview questions

How did you get your start in writing?

I’ve been writing since grade school. In high school, I took Journalism and was editor of the school paper. Later I became Editor of the St. Louis Spirit. In 1984, the writing bug bit again, after I was married with two children. I’ve been writing ever since.

Who are your biggest  influences?

Liz Curtis Higgs and my family.

What is your biggest inspiration when creating?

A quiet room with my laptop and cats, where I can listen.

Could you give us the details of your current project?

Forever and Always tells of the ups and downs of the freshly discovered love of a young couple, Patricia Heifelmeyer and John McDougal, at the end of the Civil War. The location of the book is Orleans Parish, the year of our Lord 1864. The war was almost over. Love, laughter, learning, mystery, secrecy, and murder are all woven throughout the pages of this book. The American Civil War rages from 1861 until 1865 and claimed more than 6,000,000 lives. Is John McDougal among their number?

What is the next goal you would like to achieve with your writing?

Currently, I am writing book two in my series. The title is Today, Tomorrow and Always. There are two other works in progress also.
