Thief of Thieves #6 by writer Nick Spencer and artist Shawn Martinbrough was something that I usually don’t pick up at the comic store. I often times grab my normals, buy them and call it a day. Once in a while, I go off the radar and choose one that I take a chance on. This is one book that would be a lock for my normal buys.
I enjoy how the comic has a faster pace than what I normally read and the characters are all interesting enough to want to find out more about them. The writer and artist does a good job of producing nice amounts of drama which lead me to want to turn the next page.
There were times, however that I became confused with the pacing, such as when time shifts occured and people and places changed. I had to re read some places to understand what had happened during a changing of events. This just didnt flow as smoothly as it could have.
Overall, I would want to know more about the story, possibly going back to find the back issues because this is a great change of pace from the normal “costumed” titles. Never hurts to take a chance sometimes.
