Interview questions
How did you get your start in writing?
I read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings in 3rd Grade and by the time I
started 4th I'd decided that I was going to be an author.
who are your biggest influences
I've got several from different mediums. Frank Herbert, Anne Bishop, and Anne
Rice, as well as Josh Whedon and Sam Raimi.
What is your biggest inspiration when creating?
Music. I'm a big fan of European symphonic and power metal and I'll use the
atmosphere to generate scenes in my head either before or while I'm writing
them.
Could you give us the details of your current project?
I'm going to be working on a short film concept for a while, so I'm unlikely to
be writing anything but scripts for the next few months. Unless I'm moved to
write a short for Samhain's upcoming steampunk anthology.
What is the next goal you would like to achieve with your
writing?
I'm going to try to cross over into film.
Final four (questions we ask all interviewees)
When the zombies take over the world where will you be?
A sailboat in the Caribbean. Zombies can't swim.
Jedi, Ninja, vampire, were-wolf, pirate, fairy or Spartan?
Jedi Pirate?
What one piece of art, be it music, book, film or picture,
do you think people must experience before they die?
Art is too individual to say. What I love and live for might leave someone else
cold.
Give one fact that most people would not believe about you?
I used to be shy. No one who knows me now could imagine it.
