How did you get your start in music?
Believe it or not, but we've been playing music together for almost 14 years. We
were all friends in elementary school and started to play music because...
well... it was a way to get the ladies. Years went by playing in the basement,
playing parties, playing music as a band for the hell of it - it was always a
good time. Fast forward 10 years, with the same line-up of guys, we released for
debut record titled 'Life, Death & Wonder', toured our asses off, and now we're
back in the studio to record our follow up record.
who are your biggest musical influences
Always a tough question. We love absolutely everything. From the Beatles to
Mozart, from Radiohead to Foo Fighters, Weezer...
What is your biggest inspiration when creating music?
Good atmosphere. Being chilled out. However, when your head is racing through a
million things, sometimes you just need that outlet to get it down onto paper or
on the strings.
Could you give us the details of your current project.
We're recording our next record in Toronto with our long-time producers Mike
Turner (Crash Karma, ex-Our Lady Peace guitarist) and Pete Lesperance (Harem
Scarem) and hope to have it out by Christmas. This record is full of energy,
more focused than the last, and really fun to listen to. None of this dance shit
that a lot of bands are doing... but just doing something that feels right to us
and something that sets us apart from the rest of the bands)
What is the next goal you would like to achieve with your music?
Just to spread it further. Music makes people happy. We want to bring that
feeling to everyone we possibly can. That's all we could ever ask for.
final four
When the zombies take over the world where will you be?
I will probably build myself a bat layer below the earth and chill out there
with my friends and family having some drinks and playing some tunes.
Jedi, Ninja, vampire, were-wolf, pirate, fairy or Spartan?
Jedi - you could totally blend into society and bust out the force anytime you
want and people wouldn't even know where it was coming from.
What one piece of art, be it music, book, film or picture,
do you think people must experience before they die?
Musically: Radiohead - OK Computer
Give one fact that most people would not believe about you?
That we've actually been together for almost 14 years. Nuts eh?
