Interview questions

How did you get your start in music? Well one day my pal Trevor reeves and I got a hold of a guitar from the swap meet. We decided to get a 30$ hand recorder and just see what it would sound like.

who are your biggest musical influences? Tiesto and Mindless Self Indulgence are so influential on our music. But smaller bands like Black Moth Super Rainbow, Preschool Tea Party Massacre, and Bubblegum Octopus add a lot to the flavor, just to name a few.

What is your biggest inspiration when creating music? Well for myself (Corey Rankin), I always close my eyes and see what kind of lights different sounds create. Once I like the picture in my head I try to put it into yours. Ace just wants to vibrate.

Could you give us the details of your current project. I've been working on MGKS for a few years now, budget has made this a very slow project. I want something people can not only dance to but can be flung into another world when they hear our music. It's My current partner Ace Anderson and myself running ableton software, everything you hear is directly from the pc. No hardware at all so far.

What is the next goal you would like to achieve with your music?
We would really like to start doing live performances. But seeing as it's all software based music we're having a bit of trouble thinking of an entertaining and basically fantastic way to do that.

final four (questions we ask all interviewees)

When the zombies take over the world where will you be? Barricaded in my local high school, after clearing out the army surplus store and albertsons.

Jedi, Ninja, vampire, were-wolf, pirate, fairy or Spartan? Spartan, hoo-ra.

What one piece of art, be it music, book, film or picture, do you think people must experience before they die? I think everybody should at least once in there life see a Broadway quality play. Nothing can beat the theatre.

Give one fact that most people would not believe about you? I have never been into drugs, though my appearance would strongly suggest otherwise.
